Why use an AquaDam?

AquaDam deployed to de-water a mill leat to permit the installation of a micro-hydro generation plant at Hainbury Mill in Somerset.

The installation was performed by dam purchaser assisted by Western Renewable Energy who installed the hydro scheme.

With a pair of 2 inch pumps and a team of 6 (novice installers) the AquaDam took around 2 hours to install.

This particular dam was 18m in length, had an empty weight of 350kg and is specified to control a maximum water depth of 1.8m.
